Offering dance instruction for 30 years, Linda Jamieson School of Dance provides summer and winter workshops led by top industry professionals. Linda Jamieson School of Dance has welcomed notable guest teachers such as Canada’s prima ballerina Evelyn Hart.

A former principal dancer with the Royal Winnipeg Ballet (RWB), Evelyn Hart is an award-winning ballerina who launched her career in 1978, following her completion of the RWB Professional Division Ballet Academic Program. She became a household name in 1982 after starring in the company’s full-length production of Giselle, a timeless love story.

Ms. Hart returned to RWB in September 2015 to rejoin the cast of Giselle. Performing the role of Giselle’s mother, she also served as a mentor to a new generation of dancers. Now a fellow of the Royal Society of Canada and recipient of the Governor General’s Performing Arts Award for Lifetime Artistic Achievement, Ms. Hart gave advice to the principal dancers on understanding their characters and stressed the importance of emoting in delivering a memorable performance.
